Our purpose is to raise funds for learning and enrichment activities and resources that benefit our children; support a thriving, positive, inclusive and sociable school community; and provide opportunities for children, parents, carers and school staff members to get together and have fun!
The majority of parents, carers and school staff members contribute in some way to the work of the PTA and we look forward to continued success in supporting our school. For more details on upcoming events please refer to the school calendar.
We take part in a number of programs with external companies to help raise funds for our school. See links below for more details about some of these programs.
Many thanks to those who attended our Fireworks Night on Friday, we hope you enjoyed it.
A very special thanks to our volunteers who went truly above and beyond with unprecedented numbers attending - well over double our normal attendance. This includes parents, carers and amazing teaching and support staff. Fireworks Jack did us proud with a spectacular display as ever.
We are also grateful for sponsorship and advertising from Caplen Estates. The event raised a profit of £8,750! This is the most that we have raised in a single event, and will be spent on the agreed priority with the school - refreshing laptops and other IT equipment for our kids.

Ultimately, the role of the PTA is to support our children at Buckhurst Hill Community Primary School, so please do make sure you get involved. Ways you can help include: attending events and participating in fundraisers, volunteering for events (many employees will give time off for volunteer work for a registered charity like our PTA and, most importantly, without volunteers we cannot continue to run events!), donating resources or skills, checking if your employer match funds (check the list in the Parent drop down menu), attending PTA meetings to put forward your ideas.
