Hi everyone,
We hope you are all well and we miss you very much!
There are many resources available on the Year 4 Class Page that will be accessible to all children, however we recognise that - while this is a tricky time for all of us - having a child with additional needs, SEND (Special educational needs and disability) or EAL (English as an additional language) means that it may be more complicated to find resources that suit you and your child. As such, we have set up this page in order to direct you to resources and links that we feel may be useful.
There are links on this page to high quality resources, but these do not have to be followed exactly - you could follow the lessons set for Miss Mbarouk's group, follow one of the schemes of work suggested, or pick and choose activities that you like the look of - it is entirely up to you to decide what works for you and your family.
If you have any questions, or would like to show us your child's work please feel free to email us (we love hearing from you!) -

Phonics
If your child would benefit from phonics support please see the following links. If you are unsure whether you child would benefit from phonics, have any questions, or are unsure about where to start please email us.
We recommend using Phonics Play (link below) but the other resources linked here are also very good.
Reading and comprehension
If you are unsure about which resources would be most beneficial for your child, or would like more information about their 'reading age' please email us.
Handwriting
These do not have to be printed out, you could use them as a guide/starting point. As with any of the resources we have suggested, if you are not sure what would be most beneficial for your child, please email us.
Schemes of work - daily lessons
As your child may not be working at age-related expectations, we recommend trying out the lessons for Year 2 as a starting point.
If you find that your child is finding the year 2 work difficult, use the year 1 resources. If you find that the year 2 resources are not challenging your child enough, have a look at year 3.
As always, if you have any questions, please contact us.
These are three schemes that we recommend you chose from:

Topic projects
We will be setting a new project each fortnight (until we can return to school) which will cover a variety of the other curriculum subjects.
If you have not yet completed a project, please feel free to chose whichever project you find most interesting, or to complete projects in conjunction with each other. Hopefully these are fun as well as educational, and we would like for you to do whatever is best for you and your family!
