AmazonSmile on a Mobile Device
AmazonSmile is an online shopping reward scheme offered by Amazon - every purchase you make using AmazonSmile will donate 0.5% of your purchase cost to your nominated charity at no additional cost to you. Here's how to set up AmazonSmile so that the school receives a donation every time you shop on Amazon in on a mobile device:
Step 1 - Open the Amazon Shopping app
Step 2 - Navigate to the main menu (=) at the bottom of the screen
Step 3 - Tap on Settings and then select AmazonSmile. You might need to scroll down to find the Settings option.
Step 4 - Select your charity and then follow the on-screen instructions to turn ON AmazonSmile in the mobile app. The school charity is Buckhurst Hill Community Primary School Pta - donations will go to the PTA who use the money to run events and buy the school equipment.
Step 5 - Start shopping! The Amazon app will automatically generate donations for your chosen charity.
Tips
- You’ll need to renew your nomination twice a year to keep the donations happening from the mobile app - the app will tell you when you need to renew.
