PTA Quiz Night - Friday 26th February

Back by popular demand on Friday 26th February is the PTA ‘Quiz & Chilli Night’ hosted by our resident Quiz Master Richard Cracknell.
The evening begins at 7.30pm for the quiz to start at 8.00pm. Get together with your friends and make up a team of up to 8 people. If you have a smaller group the PTA can join you up with another group to make a table of 8. Please sign up for the event, even if you aren't able to make up a full table.
Tickets cost only £10.00 per person, which includes a bowl of chilli (meat or vegetarian) with jacket potato and dessert. Please bring your own drinks and nibbles, as there will not be drinks available to purchase on the night.

Tables will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so don't delay! If you would like a table, forms are available from the school office and need to be completed and returned together with full payment no later than Monday 22nd February.

Please come along and join in the fun, there will be a raffle on the night. Please note this is an event for adults only.

Thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you.

Thank you to everyone who made Firework Night 2015 a success. Without your help and continued support events like this would not be possible.

The number of people getting involved in the PTA is getting fewer each year. Without volunteers, just sparing an hour of their time, events like firework night will no longer be able to run. The health and safety of people attending events at our school will always be the main priority.

That said, firework night raised £4800 which is fantastic. Through your funding raising efforts the PTA has been able to help the school create a new music room.

The next school event is the Christmas Bazaar on Sunday 6 December from 12pm to 3pm.

We need your help.

All families are automatically members of the PTA when their child joins our school. Parents and members of the school community are encouraged to get involved, even if they only have a small amount of time available.

We invite you to join us in the Three Colts on Tuesday evening from 7.30pm. We will be discussing the Christmas Bazaar and creating a Christmas Committee.

If you aren't able to come to the meeting on Tuesday but want to get involved in any way please contact either Jo Antony or Tania Brand

There is also now a PTA WhatsApp Group. Let Jo or Tania know if you want to join.

Many thanks

Jo Antony and Tania Brand. PTA Joint Chair
Mr Vincent. Head Teacher.

The PTA Christmas Bazaar will be held on Sunday 6th December, from 12-3pm. We always like there to be a variety of stalls at the bazaar, to give people the opportunity to stock up on some Christmas gifts.

If you would like your own stall, or know someone who may be interested, please contact Claire James on Stallholders are asked to donate £20.00 to the PTA in exchange for ONE stall.

The stalls will be allocated very quickly, so if you are interested, contact us as soon as you can!

Thank you for your continued support.

Dear Parents, Grandparents, Carers and Friends,

We need your help.

At the moment we only have 6 marshals and 2 people to help on refreshments.

This is nowhere near enough to run the event safely and we cannot go ahead if we do not get any more volunteers.

Please, if you are willing to be a marshal could you email

It is not a difficult job and you do not need any experience to help. You will be part of a team of mums and dads that will be positioned around the school field making sure the spectators stand clear of the fencing and are safe.

That's all there is to it, but it is such an important job.

We need you to be at school by 6.45pm for a quick 15 minute safety chat before the gates open at 7pm.

We also need helpers to serve teas, coffees, burgers and hotdogs.

If you can help please email or give the school office your details.

Thank you

Subject: PTA AGM 16th Oct 3:30 pm

Dear Parents and Carers

The PTA will hold their AGM on Friday 16 October after school at 3.30pm in the hall.

You are all welcome to join us.

If you are interested in becoming the PTA Chair, Treasurer or Secretary and are willing to take over please come along.

We hope to see you there.

Please also find attached the minutes from the last PTA meeting.

Thank you for your continued support.

Dear Parents, Grandparents, Carers and Friends,

We are still looking for marshals and helpers for the fireworks display due to be held on Friday 6th November. So far we only have 3 volunteers to marshal. The event can not go ahead with out your help as the marshals are vital to the safety of the event.

Please could you email or pop your name and details into the office if you are willing to help.

Thank you.

Fireworks Friday 6th November

We realise we have only just returned to school, but Fireworks Night is our next big event and this year our display will be held on Friday 6th November.

As usual the PTA are looking for volunteers to be part of a team of marshals for the evening or serve on the refreshments stall and also help to clear the field on the morning of Saturday 7th.

The marshals are vital for the safety of the event and we cannot hold it without them. It is not a difficult job but it is an important one and you don't need any experience to help out. You will be helping to keep the children behind the safety barriers and generally keep watch on the crowds.

Marshals need to be available from 6.45pm on the 6th November when our "fireworks setter-offer" - Jack Hylton, has a chat before the gates open at 7pm

Helping with the refreshments is also a vital role!.....everybody wants a burger or a cup of tea!

The field also has to be cleared of the debris from the display before the children go back to school so if you are free on the Saturday we could do with your help.

If you are willing to help in anyway please could you email your name (, your child's class and a mobile number that we can contact you on or pop your details into the office. Alternatively, add your name to the list outside the main school office.

Thank you in advance
